Snag help

User guide and developer reference for Snag: Hands-Free Capture ("Agent control, notes and tasks") on iPhone. The app is called Snag on the home screen and in Siri. This guide describes version 0.4.1.

New to Snag? Install it and open it: the set-up starts by itself. Then try these.

Try these first

  1. Say a note without touching the phone

    1. You Hey Siri, snag this.
    2. Snag What's on your mind?
    3. You Ring the garage about the MOT.
    4. Snag Snagged. Add more, or done?
    5. You Done.
    6. Snag Saved.

Where it lands: In your Snag account, and in your default destination if you have connected one. "Ring" makes it an action, so with Todoist or Reminders as the default it arrives as a task: Ring the garage about the MOT.

The hands-free loop · Where actions go

  2. Add a task with Siri

    1. You Hey Siri, add a task in Snag.
    2. Siri What's the task?
    3. You Book the boiler service.

Where it lands: Where your tasks go, in the project you named or the last one used, assigned to you where the destination can.

Every way in · Connect a destination

  3. Hand a job to one of your agents (Pro)

    1. You Ops, look into the build for tomorrow.
    2. Snag Sent to ops.

Where it lands: In flight on the Control tab, until Ops answers. The answer moves to Waiting on you.

Naming an agent · Add an agent

  4. Approve what is waiting, hands-free (Pro)

    1. You Anything need me?
    2. Snag Two things need you.
    3. Snag Restart web. Approve or hold?
    4. You Approve.
    5. Snag Approved. I'll tell you when it's done.

Where it lands: The agent gets the decision. Nothing is ever approved by silence: say nothing and it holds.

    Approvals by voice

  5. Run your own workflow by voice (Pro)

    1. You Log 42 miles.
    2. Snag Logged it.

Where it lands: Your n8n, Zapier or Make workflow gets {"miles": 42}, signed, and Snag says its reply or your own line.
