Snag is free to download. Capture is free with no time limit. Snag Pro is an in-app subscription that adds Snag Control (on the phone and in CarPlay), unlimited smart captures and sending to every destination at once. Capture in CarPlay is Free.

Prices are the UK App Store's and include VAT where it applies. Other countries see the App Store's local price. Yearly works out at £5.00 a month; the Pro screen shows the saving.
On Free, each capture goes to your Snag account and your default: the place picked in the set-up, or the one made default since. On Pro, each capture goes to your default and to every other connection that takes that kind of capture. A task still goes to one place, and Send to still sends one capture to one place. See Destinations.
Free trial
Both plans start with 2 weeks free, once per Apple account, when the App Store says you are eligible. Without the trial, the buttons show the price instead.
- Cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged.
- Snag sends a reminder notification 2 days before the trial ends (if notifications are allowed; Snag asks when the trial starts: "Turn on notifications so Snag can tell you when something needs you"), and shows a banner: "Your free trial ends on 30 Oct" / "Pro then renews at £6.99 a month. Keep it, or cancel before then and you won't be charged." with a button to stay on Pro and a Manage button.
Buying Pro
- Open the Pro screen: Settings > Plan > "Try Pro free for 2 weeks" (or "See Pro"), or any locked feature's button.
- The screen lists what Pro adds and both plans: Yearly and Monthly, each with its price and "2 weeks free" where it applies.
- Pick a plan. The button reads "Start 2-week free trial" or "Subscribe for £59.99 a year".
- Confirm with Apple. The disclosure under the button says when payment is taken and how renewal works.
- "You're on Pro." lists what is now on. Add another connection opens Settings on Add a connection; Set up Snag Control opens the Control tab; Later closes it. Buying Pro also turns on Snag Control.
Payment, renewal and cancelling are Apple's. Snag never sees card or billing details.
Purchase messages: "The purchase didn't go through. Nothing was charged.", "Apple couldn't confirm the purchase. Try Restore purchases.", "Pro isn't available right now. Try again later.", "Pro isn't available right now. Check your connection and try again."
Settings > Plan and Subscription
Settings opens with the Plan section. On Free it shows "Snag Free", the month's smart-capture count ("12 of 30 smart captures, resets 1 Nov") and the trial offer. On Pro it shows "Snag Pro, monthly" or "Snag Pro, yearly" with a Pro or Trial tag.

TestFlight beta
TestFlight builds include Pro at no charge. Settings > Plan shows "Snag Pro" with a Beta tag, and Subscription says "Beta: Pro included" / "Pro is included while you test Snag on TestFlight. Nothing is charged."
On TestFlight only, Subscription has a "Test purchases (sandbox)" switch. On, the phone behaves as Free so the paywall, the trial and a sandbox purchase can be tried. Off returns to the beta's Pro. A beta's Pro never counts as a purchase on the App Store build.
What Free locks, and how it shows

Billing problems
When Apple cannot take a renewal payment, a banner "Payment didn't go through" shows on the Capture tab at most once a day, with Update payment and Not now.

When Pro ends
The first open after Pro ends shows "You're back on Free".
- Still yours: every capture, your connections ("Your connections. Obsidian keeps receiving", naming the one that does: your default, or the first one switched On when the default is Off), and typed, Siri and hands-free capture.
- Stopped: Snag Control, on the phone and in CarPlay (capture in CarPlay carries on), sending to your other connections (paused, still connected), and smart captures after 30 a month.
- "Nothing you captured is held back."
Subscribe again and the paused connections receive again.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel from Settings > Plan > Manage subscription, or in your Apple account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Pro carries on until the end of the period paid for. Deleting your Snag account does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are requested from Apple.
