Todoist

One task for each thing you say you'll do. The full capture rides along as the task's description or a comment.

Takes voice, notes and tasks, one item per thing to do. No recording, photos or files.

Connect

Todoist connects with its own sign-in. There is no token to paste.

  1. In Snag, open Settings > Connections > Add a connection > Todoist (or pick Todoist in the set-up).
  2. Tap Sign in to Todoist and sign in on Todoist's page.
  3. Under "Which project?", pick a project. The Inbox is first and picked to start with.
  4. Set Understand dates and priorities ("tomorrow", "every Friday", "p1"), on to start with.
  5. Tap Continue, then Make default or Not now.

Todoist is listed once Snag has checked that its sign-in is available. In the set-up, the row spins while Snag checks and reads "Couldn't load Todoist. Try again" if the check fails.

What it writes

CaptureTodoist
Voice, with things to do foundOne task per thing to do. Title: the thing to do. Description: the words it came from in quotes, then "Snagged 16 Oct 2026 09:41:" and the transcript
Voice with nothing found, or a noteOne task. Title: the first words. Description: "Snagged 16 Oct 2026 09:41:" and the text. With no words: "Snag, 16 Oct 2026 09:41"
TaskOne task with its name, notes as description, project and due date

Understand dates and priorities

With it on and no project set, task names and things to do go through Todoist's Quick Add, so words such as "tomorrow #Work p1" in the name become a date, a project and a priority. The description is then added as a comment on the task. A project set (the Inbox included) or a due date picked adds the task as written, in that project. Free speech in a voice capture with nothing found is never parsed, so "this morning" in it stays text.

Limits

  • A sign-in that Todoist refuses (revoked or expired) shows Sign in again; the project list then says "Couldn't load the list."
  • Todoist allows a limited number of requests per user. Snag waits as long as Todoist asks, then sends.
  • Snag records each task it delivers and never sends the same delivery twice.
  • A refusal shows in the Snagged list as "Todoist refused the task (HTTP 400): <Todoist's message>."
  • Todoist drops comments on plans without them.
