The terms for the Snag app and for Snag Pro. Plain words first. Where the law says something else, the law wins.

Who we are

Snag is made by Siftware Ltd, registered in England, company number 05778639, registered office Powys House, Market Square, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, Powys, SY10 0JG. Contact: hello@snag.fm.

Using the app

The Snag app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add what's specific to Snag and Snag Pro. If the two disagree about Snag Pro, these terms apply.

Use Snag for your own notes, tasks and recordings. Don't use it to record people who haven't agreed to it where the law needs their agreement, or to send anything unlawful to a destination.

Snag Free

Free costs nothing and has no time limit. It includes typed, Siri and hands-free capture, your Snag account and one other destination, and 30 smart captures a month. A smart capture is one where Snag pulls out the actions for you. After 30 in a month, captures are still saved and sent, without the actions, until the month resets.

Snag Pro

Pro adds Snag Control, CarPlay, unlimited smart captures and all destinations at once. It costs £6.99 a month or £59.99 a year in the UK, or the price shown in the App Store where you are. Prices include VAT where it applies.

• Payment: charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
• Renewal: Pro renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancelling: in your Apple account settings, under Subscriptions, at any time. Pro carries on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: Apple handles payment, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes: if the price goes up, Apple tells you first and, where the law or Apple's rules need it, asks you to agree before you're charged the new price.

The free trial

When you reach the Free limit, Snag may offer two weeks of Pro free. The trial is once per Apple account. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown when you started it. If you buy Pro during a trial, the rest of the trial ends.

If Pro ends

You go back to Free. Your captures, your Snag account and the destinations you've connected stay as they are. Pro features stop until you subscribe again.

Your Snag account

You can delete your Snag account in the app's Settings. That deletes the captures stored in it. It doesn't cancel a subscription: do that in your Apple account.

Other services

When you send captures to another service, that service's own terms apply to what it holds. We aren't responsible for what another service does with it, or for it being unavailable.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep Snag reliable, but we can't promise every capture arrives every time: networks drop and other services go down. Keep anything important somewhere you control too. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protections of the law where you live.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date below. If a change affects Pro in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
