Capture: Super+Q

Snag desktop's capture box with a task typed: Draft the release notes, with a project, a label, a person and a date, a row showing what will be filed, and a list offering friday to complete the date.
  1. The line: the task name first, markers in any order.
  2. Markers, highlighted as you type: #project, @label, +person, a date at the end.
  3. What will be filed, and where. A marker that can't be matched is struck through, with why.
  4. Completions. Tab takes one; only Tab completes a date.
  5. Enter files it. Esc closes the box and keeps the draft for 60 seconds.
  6. The signed-in account, or why the box cannot file.

Timer: Super+Alt+Q

Snag desktop's timer window, running: 00:00:42 on Write the launch post, with Stop and Switch task buttons and a Billable switch.
  1. The elapsed time. The tray icon is a red dot while it runs.
  2. The task and project.
  3. Start or stop.
  4. Switch task: the task picker. Type to filter, Enter starts.
  5. Billable, on by default. Set it while you work.
  6. Esc hides the window. / or Ctrl+K picks a task.

Paste or drop up to 5 files.

Idle: after 6 minutes

  • Keep all (Enter): the time stays.
  • Discard idle, carry on: a new entry starts now.
  • Discard idle and stop: the timer stops.
  • Move it: to another task.

Esc answers later. Nothing is discarded on its own.
